Dave Black - Canyoneering Master Guide

Learning with a Master Guide

All course curricula that are taught by Rappel Maui teaching staff were developed by Dave Black, a canyoneering, climbing, guiding and Wilderness First Aid expert on the U.S. mainland and overseas for almost 40 years. He was an active participant in pioneering certification programs in the American mountain and canyon guiding industry (certified ACA, APMGA, and ACGA).

The photos of tall waterfalls shown are not of canyons that you will experience during these courses. They are places on Maui that may be accessible to non-commercial canyoneers. Rappel Maui trains students on smaller waterfalls in our private valley.
